If you require greater control over how the entity client builds a SQL statement based on the incoming LINQ query, you can use Entity SQL. Entity SQL is a database-independent dialect of SQL that works directly with entities. Once you build an entity SQL query, it can be sent directly to entity client services (or if you wish, to object services), where it will be formatted into a proper SQL statement for the underlying data provider.
